Scott MacLean Mason

MASON, Scott MacLean - 75,
Seal Harbour, Guysborough County, died December 20, 1993,
in Ottawa. Born in Cross Roads, Country Harbour, he was a son of the
late Stanley B. and Theresa (Worth) Mason.
He spent more than 40 years in law enforcement,
having been a former police chief for the
Town of New Glasgow. Prior to his retirement,
he was employed by Canadian International Paper
in Gatineau, Que. as chief security officer
and fire marshall. He was a past member of New Glasgow Rotary Club;
an adherent to Goldboro United Baptist Church
and member of St. Mary's Male Choir. He is survived
by his wife, the former Frances Patriquin;
two daughers, Jeanette (Mrs. Donald Dahms),
Ottawa; Joan (Mrs. Coleman Conroy), Hampton, N.H.;
sister, Eva Manthorne, Seal Harbour; two grand daughters.
He was predeceased by a brother, Henry; sister,
Lillian Manthorne. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday
in G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in Goldboro United
Baptist Church, Rev. Stanley Worth officiating, assisted by
Rev. John Van Kesteren. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Cross Roads, Country Harbour. Donations may be made
to Canadian Cancer Society or St. Mary's Male Choir.
