MASON, Ernest MacLeod - 92,
L.R. MacKaracher Nursing Home, Sherbrooke,
formerly of Cross Roads Country Harbour, Guysborough Co.,
died June 27, 1995, in St. Mary's Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke.
Born in Borneo, Guysborough Co., he was a son of the
late James Arthur and Levenia (Fenton) Mason.
He was a lifetime resident of Cross Roads Country Harbour.
Prior to his retirement, he was manager of the
Country Harbour branch of St. Andrew's Co-Op.
Surviving are daughters, Doris (Mrs. Robert Sutherland), Country Harbour;
Edith (Mrs. Andrew Murphy), Lochaber; Roxey Benoit,
Sudbury, Ont; Lina (Mrs. Stewart Caddell), Truro;
Nellie (Mrs. Murray Feltmate), Janet (Mrs. Louis Butts), Goshen;
son, Leonard, Country Harbour, 18 grandchildren;
22 great-grandchildren; sister, Carrie Smith, Country Harbour;
brother, Grant, Thorburn, Pictou Co. He was predeceased
by his wife, the former Margaret Belle Smith;
sons, Russell, Clarence, both in infancy.
Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in G.W. Giffin Funeral Home,
Country Harbour. Funeral 2 p.m. Friday in Cross Roads
United Baptist Church, Pastor John Van Keseren officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Country Harbour.
