SIMPSON, Clarence Buckley - 80,
Boylston, died Friday, June 26, 1998, at home.
Born in Boylston, he was a son of the late
Buckley and Eliza (Keay) Simpson. He was a farmer
and a retired bus driver from Guysborough Municipality after 19 years.
In his earlier years, he worked for R.A. Simpson Lumber Co.
and for E.W. Sceles Christmas Tree Exporters. He was a member of
Boylston United Church; past master and member of
Easter Light Masonic Lodge 72, Guysborough, where he received
a 50-year jewel; life member of Chedabucto Curling Club;
member of Guysborough Lions Club, and director of
Boylston Community Association. He is survived by
his wife of 49 years, the former Goldie Crooks;
daughter, Shauneth and husband Allister Tobey, Port Hood;
son, Peter and companion Terri, Boylston; sisters,
Anna Buckley, Boylston; Doris Archibald, Antigonish;
brother, Orrin, Boylston; grandchildren, Bradley Simpson,
Sharin and Sandi Tobey; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by
brothers, Charlie and Lloyd. Funeral service was Sunday in Boylston United Church,
Rev. Bill Ford officiated. Internment in the church cemetery.
