Florence A. Simpson
Former Medical Missionary Dies
"Miss Florence A. Simpson,
Boylston, Guysborough County, died Thursday
in Dartmouth, NS. She was 80.
Born in Manchester, Guysborough county,
she was the daughter of the late William G. Simpson and Emma Simpson.
A graduate nurse of Providence, Rhode Island,
she worked as a medical missionary in India for some years
and later as a public health nurse throughout the New England states.
In later years she served as a Public Health Nurse
in Nova Scotia and at one time was a member
of the staff of Nova Scotia Sanatorium, Kentville, NS.
She is survived by one brother, Gordon, Boylston
and one sister Gertrude, Lowell, Mass.
The body will be transferred to Boylston for service Sunday
at 3p.m. in the Baptist Church.
Interment will be at the church cemetery.
