Charles Wilfred Ehler,
78 of Peas Brook ......held in St James Anglican, Half Way Cove.
Born Peas Brook, son of John F. and Catherine (Kennedy) Ehler.
He was church organist and treasurer of
St. James Anglican for 50 years and in earlier years
a lay reader in the church. He was councillor
for the municipality and a justice of the peace.
He was book keeper at Matthews and Scott, Queensport,
until his retirement. Survived by wife the former Margaret Smith,
formerly of Port Hood Island, three daughters,
Bertha (Mrs John Morgan), Guysborough;
Winnifred (Mrs Frank Bond), Colbourne Ont and Elizabeth
(Mrs Arnold Russell) Cook's Cove, Guys Co, three sons, Donald, Windsor;
Thurlow, Fort St James BC; and William,
Port Hawkesbury, Four sisters, Bessie (Mrs William J Munroe),
Cole Harbour; Annie (Mrs Harry Duncan), Trenton;
Mabel (Mrs Arthur Mason), St Margarets Bay; and Winnifred
(Mrs Howard Scott), Halifax.
