GLENELG -- Blanche Cruickshank, 84, of Glenelg, Guysborough County, died Thursday at home.

Born in Indian Harbour Lake, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Caroline (Corneally) Furlong.

Active in community affairs, she was a member of Kirk United Church, Aspen, and the UCW.

She is survived by two daughters, Claire (Mrs. Douglas McKeen), Glenelg;
Sharron (Mrs. Earl MacDonald), Antigonish;
12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren;
four brothers,
Edwin, Sherbrooke;
Percy, Dunville, Ont.;
James, Frank, both of Port Hilford;
a sister, Myra Sanford, Virginia.

She was predeceased by her husband, George;
a granddaughter, Emily, in infancy;
two brothers, Murray, Bernard.

Her remains are resting in Kirk United Church, Aspen, with visiting from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today and where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Donations may be made to Kirk United Church Building Fund.
