LOWER SOUTH RIVER -- Abram Elmer Fraser, 96,
of Lower South River, Antigonish County, died Sunday, April 12, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish.

Born in Lower Caledonia, Guysborough County, he was a son of the late George and Christy Anne (MacDonald) Fraser.

He was a resident of Lower South River for the past 35 years.
He was a scaler and contractor with Mersey Pulp and Paper Company.

He is survived by a daughter, Elma (Mrs. David Perry), West Orange, N.J.;
a son, MacGregor, Hopewell;
four grandsons; two great-grandchildren;
a sister, Dora (Mrs. Bill Partridge), Mill Valley, Calif.;
a brother, Donald, Bridgeville.

He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Bessie Archibald;
his second wife, the former Agnes MacQuarrie;
two brothers, Gregor and Ernest;
a sister Addie.

His remains have been cremated under the direction of H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Aspen.
