Freeman Cavassa Rhynold, Philips Harbour, June 19 -
the death of Freeman Cavassa Rhynold, aged 75,
occurred on Friday, June 13, in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso,
following an illness of several months.
Mr Rhynold was born at Philips Harbour, Guys Co.,
October 18, 1893, a son of the late Alexander and Abigal (sic) (Knowlan)Rhynold.
He was funeral director for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, the former Harriet Faulkenham,
one son, Nathan, an adopted daughter Jean (Mrs Frank George),
10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren,
all of Philips Harbour. The remains rested at the family residence
until 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon when the funeral service was held
in the United Baptist, Church, conducted by his pastor, Rev. Cecil MacArthur
assisted by Rev Harold Beaumont, Canso. Hymns sung were
"The Sands of Time Are Sinking", "Nearer My God To Thee"
and "Peace, Perfect Peace". Pallbearers were Calvin Bennett,
Lawrence Bennett, Gerald Bennett, Albert Bennett, Ansel Hendsbee,
nephews of the deceased, and David Nolan.
