Mrs. Margaret Ann George, Upper Whitehead, May 9 -
Mrs Margaret Ann (Annie) George, 76,
widow of Abraham George, Upper Whitehead, Guys. Co.,
died Saturday, May 3, in Kentville.
Born in Charlos Cove, she was the daughter of
the late Benjamin and Abbie (Fitzgerald) Grover.
She is survived by four daughters,
(Minnie) Mrs Anthony MacMillan, Trenton, NS;
Mrs Velma Trottier, Halifax;
Mrs Janetta Vecchiola, Toronto;
(Adeline) Mrs Fred Osborne, Brookfield;
seven sons, Seymore (sic) Meeds, Queensport;
Edward, Percy, Ira, Upper Whitehead,;
Abe, Whitehead Island; Paul and Philip Toronto;
one step-son, Allan George, Port Felix;
one brother, Percy Grover, laReville, NS;
five Sisters (Christena), Mrs Gus Ryan, Port Hawkesbury;
Mrs Anastasia Murphy, Saint John, NB;
Bridget (Mrs Everett Theures), Florida;
Mrs Essie Bond, Canso, and (Rhoda) Mrs Edmund Holmes, Mulgrave,
41 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Her husband died eight months ago.
A son Harvey and a daughter Juanita also predeceased her.
Funeral service was held from Christ Church of England, Queensport,
at 2 pm, Tuesday, Rev H C Quartermain officiated.
Wilfred Ehler was organist.
Hymns sung were "Jesus Keep Me Near The Cross,"
"In the Garden" and "Abide With Me".
Pallbearers were grandchildren Edward and Francis MacMillan,
Vernal Trottier, Brian, Roger and Harvey George.
Internment was in church cemetery.
