Vincent Gregory Parker, 83, of Canso,
died Thursday in Eastern Memorial
Hospital, Canso.
Born at Fox Island,
he was a son of the late John and Elizabeth
(Rhynold) Parker.
He was a retired fisherman
and a member of the Star of the Sea Church,
Canso.
Surviving are his wife, the former Sadie O'Hearn;
three daughters,
Agatha (Mrs. Joseph Boudreau), Dartmouth;
Marion (Mrs. Fred Snow),
Willimantic, Conn.;
Lorraine (Mrs. Richard Walker), Canso;
five sons,
Patrick, Jimmy, Daniel, Sylvester
and Dennis, all of Canso; two sisters
Mary and Agatha, both of Sydney;
19 grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by four brothers,
George, Basil, William, and Cecil;
and a sister, Mabel.
The body is at the home of his son, Patrick, Canso.
Funeral will be 2
p.m. Saturday
in Star of the Sea Church, Canso,
with burial in the
church cemetery.
