HAYNE, Malcolm Eugene - 54,
of Cross Roads, Country Harbour, Guysborough Co.,
died Friday, March 9, 2001, in Cross Roads, Country Harbour.
Born in Country Harbour, he was a son of Francis and the late Greta (Mason) Hayne.
He was a retired woodsman. He was a lover of country music
and enjoyed playing his guitar and singing.
He performed at numerous variety concerts around the country
raising money for various causes. He enjoyed playing darts, sport fishing
and was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf fan. An excellent mechanic,
he enjoyed tinkering in his garage. He is survived by sons,
Shannon (Colleen), Port Hilford, Guysborough Co.; Joel (Simone), Kitchener,
Ont.; his partner, Aileen MacDonnell and her children,
Edison, Roddy, Ronnie, Roy, Burnum, Walter, Angus and Marion;
brothers, Eric (Margie), Allan (Elmira), David (Noreen), Danny (Lynn) and Bradley,
all of Country Harbour; sisters, Ruth (Mrs. Bryant Long), Giant's Lake, Guysborough Co.;
Carol Sangster, Indian Harbour Lake, Guysborough Co.; Marla (Mrs. Colin MacLean),
South Lochaber, Antigonish Co.; Tracy (Mrs. Jarrod Sheppard), Cross Roads, Country Harbour;
three grandchildren; former wife, Rosalie Smith, Kitchener, Ont.;
several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today
in the G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Trinity Anglican Church,
Country Harbour Mines, Rev. Katherine Bourbonniere officiating,
assisted by Pastor John Luten. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Country Harbour.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
