Fisher, Howard L. - 94,
Antigonish, formerly of Aspen, Guys. Co.,
died peacefully February 26, 1999, at home. Born in Aspen, he was a son of the late Isaac and Helena (Eadie) Fisher. He was a retired farmer and woodsman. He was a member of the Glenelg Presbyterian Church where he was an elder for over 50 years. He was a past Master of Queens Lodge, where he was a member for over 65 years. He is survived by his wife, the former Katherine Cameron, Antigonish; daughters, Shirley and husband Warren Aikins, Little Harbour; Ruth and husband Robert Chandler, Dartmouth; Carol and husband Keith McKeen, Sydney; Janet and husband Steven Willumsen, Toronto; granddaughters, Jane (Aikins) Thompson, Little Harbour; Stacy McKeen, Sydney; Corinne McKeen, Prince Edward Island; grandsons, John Aikins, Frederickton; Stephen Aikins, Halifax; great - grandchildren, Ryan, Conor, and Evan Thompson, Andre and Janelle Aikins; brother, Wilfred Fisher, Lochaber; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sons, and two daughters in infancy; sisters, Sarah Hudson, Ruth Dunbar, Mabel Fisher; brothers, Eadie, Herbert, and John Everett. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Glenelg Presbyterian Church from where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Larry Welch officiating. Burial of cremains will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Aspen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nova Scotia Homecare, Antigonish Branch, or Glenelg Presbyterian Church. Arrangementa entrusted to H.W. Angus Funeral Home New Glasgow. Queens Masonic Lodge 34 will meet at Glenelg Presbyterian Church on Tuesday evening at 6:45 p.m. to conduct their service.
