MUNROE, Lawrence Currie ~ 82, Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough, formerly of Whitehead, Guysborough Co., died April 30,1998, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Whitehead, he was a son of the late Berton and Lola Belle (Feltmate) Munroe. He was a retired fisherman and a member of the Whitehead Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are his wife, the former Bertha Peitzsche; sons, Paul, Beaver Bank; Roger, Dartmouth; brothers, Irving, Guysborough; Kenneth, Arklo, Whitehead; sisters, Bertha (Mrs. Ross Farquharson), Cranbrook, B.C.; Virginia Barrie, Dartmouth; Beryl MacMillan, Pictou; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson in infancy; brothers, Randolph, Eric; sisters, Leona Keddy, Geraldine Theriault, Evelyn Munroe. Cremation has taken place. Funeral was Sunday, in Grace United Church, Whitehead, Rev. Bill Ford officiated. Burial in Grace United Church Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to Grace United Church. Arrangements entrusted to G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
