Burnham Edward Baker

BAKER, Burnham Edward (Bunnie) ~ 82, Spanish Ship Bay, Guysborough County, died November 8, 1993, in St. Mary's Hospital, Sherbrooke. Born in Liscomb, he was a son of the late Walter Archibald and Janet (Dingle) Baker. He was a member and elder of St. John's United Church, Liscomb. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the RCNR in the invasion of France. He is survived by two sisters, Helen (Mrs. H. Ellis), Ontario; Mrs. Eliza Creaser, Riverport; three brothers, Clarence, Bridgewater; Walter, Max, both of Liscomb. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Gertrude McKinley; sister, Marjorie Croft, brother, William; three children in infancy. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in St. John's United Church, Liscomb, where funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. George Micklethwaite officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to St. John's United Church. Arrangements under the direction of Ecum Secum Funeral Home.
