JOHN WILLIAM KNOCTON

Guysborough Intervale - John William Knocton, 79, of Guysborough Intervale, died Monday August 18, 1980, at home. Born in Guysborough Intervale, he was the son of late Patrick and Annie (Bond) Knocton. He was a retired farmer and fisherman, and a member of St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Guysborough Intervale. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Catherine Hampton, are three daughters, Annie (Mrs. Joseph Roach), Cheticamp; Elizabeth (Mrs. Gerald Lawlor), Antigonish, and Mary (Mrs. Albert Delorey), Sackville; two sons, Joseph, Antighonish, and Charles, Guysborough Intervale; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one sister Nellie and two brothers Stanley and Charles. The body is at the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St Patrick's Church, Guysborough Intervale, Rev. John Jewell officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Heart Fund.
