MELVIN W BAKER
Liscombe – Melvin Wentworth Baker, 49, of Liscombe, died Monday in St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of Mrs. Ella G. (Rudolph) Baker and the late Bruce Baker. Surviving besides his wife, the former Florence Harpell, are a son, Michael, at home; a foster daughter, Beverley (Mrs. Jimmy Hartling), Lower Sackville; a sister, Florence, (Mrs. Kenneth Horton), Port Bickerton; three foster grandchildren. The body is in St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Liscombe. Funeral will be 2 p.m. today, Rev. Eldie Richard officiating, with burial in St. Luke’s Cemetery.
