CECIL R SMITH
Crossroads Country Harbour – Cecil Rhodes Smith, 76, of Crossroads Country Harbour, died Thursday in St. Martha’s Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Crossroads Country Harbour, he was a son of the late Sydney and Mary (MacIntosh) Smith.
He worked as a woodsman all his life. He was a member of the Zion United Church, Country Harbour. He was a past master of the Stormont Masonic Lodge No. 96 and of the Merediam Lodge 117, Country Harbour. He received his 50 year jewel last December.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Bessie Foster, Woburn, Mass.; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three sisters and a brother.
The body will be at Curry’s Funeral Home, Antigonish, after 7 p.m. this evening. It will be transferred to Zion United Church, Country Harbour, on Saturday at 1:30, where funeral will be held at 2:20 p.m., Rev. Cyril Chaulk officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
