MRS. LIZZIE MACDERMID
Drum Head. Sept. 1 – Mrs. Lizzie MacDermid passed away Aug. 28, 1939, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leonard Fanning, at the age of 67 years. She was confined to her bed for the past three months. Born at Port Bickerton, Guysborough County, she resided at Seal Harbour until the passing of her husband who was killed in an auto accident at Stillwater 13 years ago. Since that time she has been living with her daughter at Drum Head. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Pitcher, pastor of the Anglican Church, Liscombe. Interment was at Hillside Cemetery, Seal Harbour. She is survived by her aged mother, Mrs. Rebecca Taylor, Port Bickerton; two brothers, John and Arthur also of Port Bickerton; one daughter, Mrs. Leonard Fanning; three grandchildren. A daughter, Margaret, predeceased her 10 years ago.
