died March 9,1998,
In St. Mary's Memorial Hospital ,Sherbrooke.
Born in Sherbrooke, she was a daughter of
the late John and Jessie(Rudolph) Gale.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She spent all of her life in Sonora,
where she was active in the community.
She was a member of the Calvary Faith Baptist Church,
Sonora, and belonged to the ladies aid of the church.
Surviving are sons, Raymond (Pearl),
Harry (Kay), Richard (Kelly),
Fraser (Ellen), Sonora;
daughters Kay (Mrs. Joe Breen), Merlin;
Pearl Cook, Sherbrooke; Nan (Mrs. Rodney Kaiser),
Peggy Stevens, Port Bickerton;
Beverley Wilson, Woodstock, Ontario;
Linda Harpell (Peter Arsenault),
Enfield; daughters- in-law Althea and Donna Burns,
Sonora ;sister, Jessie Fernandez, Sherbrooke;
special niece Grace Mahar, Sherbrooke;
45 grandchildren; 54 great- grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Allan Vernon Burns;
Oswald, Allan Jr.; brothers, Oswald, Earl;
sisters, Gertie Anderson, Louise Jollota, Nora MacDonald;
grandson, Paul Breen; granddaughter, Nancy Burns,
great-grandson Nikolas Kaiser .
Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today,
funeral service will be 2p.m. Wednesday,
both in Calvary Faith Baptist Church, Sonora .
Pastor Wayne Bray officiating .
Burial in Hillside Cemetery Sonora.
Memorial donations may be made to the
Calvary Faith Baptist Church or
the Parkinson Foundation of Canada,
Nova Scotia Division. Arrangements entrusted to
G.W. Giffen Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
