Burns, Alice Belle, 70, Dartmouth,
formerly of Sonora, Guys. Co.;
died Sunday in Victoria General Hospital,
Halifax. Born in Roachvale, Guys. Co.;
She was a daughter of the late William and Susan (Spanks) Cook.
She was a school teacher for 35 years.
Following retirement, she worked at Izaak Walton Killam Children's Hospital,
Halifax, with Red Cross, and was involved with senior citizens.
She is survived by a son, Blois, Dartmouth;
three daughters, Dolena (Mrs. Harold Lumsden),
Guysborough; Marilyn (Mrs. Jim Richardson),
Canso; Juanita (Mrs. Bernie Dort), Halifax.
A sister, Mrs. Marion Parks, New Minas;
10 grandchildren. She was predeceased
by her husband, Ralph Eugene Burns.
The body is in Veinotte's Funeral Home, Sherbrooke,
visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Sonora Baptist Church.
Rev. D. Krause officiating.
Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Sonora.
