ROSSONG, Blanche Edna - 91, Hazel Hill, Guysborough Co., died December
18, 1997, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Port Felix, Guysborough
Co., she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Mimie (Shrader) Casey. She
was a homemaker and a member of Star of the Sea Parish, Canso. She is survived
by daughters, Mary (Mrs. Colin Maclsaac), Abeerndale, Mass.; Mrs. Kaye
MacPherson, West River, Antigonish Co.; Theresa Dewar, Sault Ste. Marie,
Ont.; sons, James, Canso; Robert and wife Jean, Hazel Hill; Fred and wife
Lorraine, Francis and wife Mary, Antigonish; sisters, Effie Spears, Whitehead;
Annie (Mrs. Arthur DeRabbie), Hazel Hill; Mrs. Mamie Hart, Alberta; 41
grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, John; daughter, Sophia Gottschell;
sons, John Jr., Hughie; brothers, Dennis, Howard, Ernest, Daniel. Visitation
will be 2-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral
will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Star of the Sea Church, Canso, Rev. John Morrison
officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made
to Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough.
