CLYKE, James Ernest - 75, Guysborough, died Thursday,
June 3, 1999, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
Born in Guysborough,
he was a son of the late William Archibald and Annie May (Pelley) Clyke.
He retired from Michelin Tire Plant, Granton, Pictou Co., in 1988.
He was a member of Guysborough United Baptist Church;
a member of Eastern Light Lodge 72, Guysborough.
He was a PM and a PDDGM.
He was a veteran of the Second World War, having served overseas.
He is survived by his wife, the former Annabell Reddick;
daughter, Debbie (Mrs. Doug MacDonald), Truro;
sons, Barry and wife Margie, Dartmouth;
Wayne and wife Yvonne, Truro;
Cyril, Sudbury, Ont.;
sister, Evelyn (Mrs. Gary Saunders), Beaverton, Ont.;
brothers, Ainley, Leslie, Guysborough;
Gordon "Duck", Sunnyville;
grandchildren, Jennifer, Erin, Morgan, Shayla, Brooke;
great-grandchildren, Jordan, Samara and Dakota.
He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Bessie Alice Skinner;
daughter, Patricia.
There will be no visitation.
Cremation has taken place.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday in Guysborough United Baptist Church,
with Rev. Chuck Mosley officiating.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
A graveside Masonic service will follow.
Reception to follow in the Masonic Hall, Guysborough.
No flowers by request.
Memorial donations may be made to Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
Arrangements entrusted to Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough.
