CRUICKSHANK, Trueman Campbell - 86,
Sherbrooke, Guysborough Co., died December 18, 1995,
in St.Mary's Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke.
Born in Lower Caledonia, he was a son of the late John Duncan and Mary Ellen (Hattie) Cruickshank.
He resided in Sherbrooke for the past 52 years.
He was a member and elder of St. John's United Church, where he served as church treasurer for 39 years.
He was a life member of the Canadian Bible Society.
Until his retirement he worked at Sherbrooke Garage as an auto body mechanic.
He was also a member of Sherbrooke Maple Manor Seniors and served on Sherbrooke Village Commission for nine years.
Surviving are his wife, the former Ruby Chisholm;
sons, Glenn, Riverton;
Campbell, Sherbrooke;
Brian, Pugwash;
daughter, Juanita (Mrs. Dennis Chipman), Lethbridge, Alberta
sister, Florence Fraser, Sherbrooke;
brothers, Ellis, Buraby(sic),B.C.
Charlie, New Westminister, B.C.;
13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sisters,
Sister Hattie MacDonald, one in infancy
Brothers, Robert, Edwin.
Funeral was held Thursday, Dec.21, in St. John's United Church, Sherbrooke,
Rev. George Meicklethwaithe officiated.
Burial was in the family cemetery in Lower Caledonia.
Donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Bible Society, St.Mary's Memorial Hospital or any charity.
Arrangements were under the direction of H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
