Simeon B. Cook Laid to Rest in Family Cemetery

SHERBROOKE - The death of Simeon B. Cook occurred May 20
at St. Martha's Hospital, Antigonish,
following a short illness. He was 42.

He was born in Sherbrooke, N.S.,
a son of Mrs. Walter Cooke and the late Mr. Cook.

He is survived by his wife, the former Stella MacKay,
and one daughter, Edith;
also three sisters, Hazel (Mrs. Herbert Hines) Woodside, N.S.;
Effie (Mrs. Lewis Wilson), Marion (Mrs. Trueman Jordan) both of Sherbrooke;
three brothers, Ralph, Newfoundland;
Walter with the Canadian Army, Winnipeg;
and Leo at Sherbrooke.

He was predeceased by his father in 1954, and a sister Edith (Mrs. John Laing) in 1943.
The funeral service was held Friday afternoon from St. James Presbyterian Church with Rev. John E. Matheson officiating.
Pallbearers were Frank Jordan, Calvin Carroll, Ralph Brigley,
Harold Jordan, Douglas Smith and Garth MacDonald.
The members of the Canadian Legion Branch No. 56 conducted a service at the cemetery.
Interment was in the family lot in St. James Church of England Cemetery.
