CAMERON, William Alvin -- 96,
Cameron Settlement, Guysborough County,
Died Monday in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Cameron Settlement, he was a son of the late Duncan and Susan (Smith) Cameron.
He was a resident of Cameron Settlement all his life, working as a farmer, lumberman, and road foreman.
He was a member, elder and choir member of Bethyl Presbyterian Church, Caledonia;
a former clerk of session; and a former justice of the peace.
He is survived by three daughters,
Georgia (Mrs. Emery Cameron),
Muriel (Mrs. John I. MacDonald), both of Sunnybrae;
Ruth (Mrs. John Cameron) Caledonia;
Two sons,
Clarence, Caledonia;
Roy, Greenwood Road, Pictou County;
20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Bertha Kirk;
His second wife, the former Elmira Cameron;
a brother, Archibald.
The body is in H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
Funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Bethyl Presbyterian Church, Caledonia.
Rev. Charles MacPherson officiating.
Burial will be in church cemetery.
Family flowers only.
Donations may be made to church or cemetery fund.
