MARTIN, Malcolm Allan (Mac) - 75, Halifax County Regional Rehabilitation Centre, Cole Harbour,
formerly of Country Harbour, Guysborough County,
died September 1, 1994, in the centre.
Born in Gowganda, Ont.,
he was a son of Henry and Christie (Cushing) Martin.
He was a retired woodsman and miner.
He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving overseas with the Cape Breton Highlanders.
He was a past member of IOOF Lodge, Evangeline Branch 78;
past member of MacRitchie Branch 157, Royal Canadian Legion, Goldboro and the Country Harbour Gun Club.
He is survived by his wife, the former Phyllis M. Cooke, Country Harbour;
three sons, Henry, Mardon, both of Country Harbour, Darrell, Timmins, Ont.;
five daughters, Myrna Martin, Halifax;
Fauline (Mrs. Maurice Kelly) Guysborough;
Beverley (Mrs. Carl Manthorne), Moira (Mrs. Ricky McLaren) Gina (Mrs. Robert Walsh) all of Country Harbour;
sister, Elsie Herman, Dartmouth;
21 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, William;
four sisters, Murella Sinclair, Henrietta Martin, Muriel Martin, Almyra Martin;
two granddaughters, Michelle Schrader, Krista Leigh Martin.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Carl Manthorne.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Stormont Union Church,
Rev. Stanley Worth officiating.
Burial will be in Stormont Cemetery.
Donations may be made to Halifax County Regional Rehabilitation Center, Apt. 2A.
Arrangements under the direction of G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
