MASON, Lawrence Carmen - 86, Cross Roads, Country Harbour,
died Saturday in Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
Born in Country Harbour, he was a son of the late
Caleb and Sophie (Cook) Mason.
He was a retired, self-employed local businessman who worked for many years as a butcher.
He also owned and operated a retail sales business.
He was a member of Cross Roads United Baptist Church and
Sunset Senior Citizens Club, Country Harbour.
He is survived by a sister, Alma, Country Harbour;
many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Hilda Johnstone;
two sisters, Marion in infancy; Lois Sutherland.
The body is in the Cross Roads United Baptist Church,
where funeral will be 2 p.m. today,
Rev. Bob Mather-Dyer, Rev. Lola Mather-Dyer and Rev. Shelagh MacCulloch-Tayor officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Country Harbour.
Donations may be made to any charity.
