CRUICKSHANK, Kenneth Grant --
59, Caledonia, Guysborough Co., died Tuesday, April 29, 1997,
in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Kenneth S. and Laura J. (Cameron) Cruickshank, Caledonia.
He was a resident of Caledonia for most of his life with the exception of five years spent in Halifax, where he was employed with Cummings Diesel Ltd.
He was a diesel mechanic by trade, returning to Caledonia in 1964.
He joined his father and two brothers in the trucking and logging business, K.S. Cruickshank & Sons Ltd., in 1965 and served as secretary treasurer.
He was a member, elder and clerk of session of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Caledonia;
member of Regina Lodge IOOF 74, Sunny Brae, where he was past grand and past district deputy grand master of district 4;
member of MacDonald Rebekah Lodge 108, Sunny Brae, and Pictou County Antique Car Club.
Surviving are his wife, the former Frances Moser,
daughter Myrna (Mrs. Glenn Johnstone);
son, Barry Grant and wife Melinda;
brothers, Keith and wife Shirley,
Myron and wife Sandra, all of Caledonia;
granddaughters, Melissa and Kayla;
several nieces and nephews.
His remains are resting at H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow, with visiting from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, and from where the funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. Donald Shephard officiating.
Burial in Bethel Cemetery, Caledonia.
Donations in his memory may be made to Bethel Prebyterian Church, Caledonia or Bethel Cemetery.
