CALEDONIA, Guysborough County --
John B. Cruickshank, 86,
died Monday in St. Mary's Hospital, Sherbrooke.
Born in Caledonia, he was a son of the late Gordon and Hennrietta (Hattie) Cruickshank.
He was a member of Bethyl Presbyterian Church, Caledonia.
He was a member of Regina I.O.O.F. Lodge 74 Sunnybrae for 62 years.
He had lived in this community for all his life, was charter member of Caledonia Home and School and was a forest ranger for 15 years.
He is survived by three brothers, Edgar, Truro;
Hugh, Stellarton;
Kenneth, Caledonia;
Several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ada and a brother, Henry.
The body will be at home after 7 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Bethyl Presbyterian Church, Caledonia,
Rev. Edgar Dewar officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethyl Presbyterian Church or St. Mary's Memorial Hospital.
