Newtown Man Dies Thursday

NEWTOWN, Guys. Co. - Henry Lawrence Archibald, died unexpectedly Thursday evening.
Born in Newtown 48 years ago,
he was a son of the late Arthur and Emma Cameron Archibald,
and was an electrical engineer with the NSPC in Halifax
after his graduation from University,
then town engineer with the town of Kentville and
later with the Bathurst Pulp and Paper Products.
He was also a consulting engineer in Needham, Mass.
until illness forced him into an early retirement.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, East River St. Mary's.
He is survived by his wife,
two daughters: Mary Lee and Julie:
two sons, Stephen and James;
five sisters, Mrs. Dr. Eric Cleveland, Wolfville;
Mrs. Allison Illsley, Moncton;
Mrs. George MacDonald, Rocky Mountain;
Mrs. Scott Fraser, Sherbrooke;
Mrs. Fred Fraser, Garden of Eden,
and two brothers, Cecil and Hugh in Newtown.
The funeral service will be held from the East River St. Mary's Presbyterian Church Sunday at 2:30
conducted by Lic. Waldo Grandy with interment in Newtown.
The remains will rest at the Angus Funeral Home, King Street, after 10 a.m. on Saturday.
