Guysboro Man Killed In Carolina

Word was received on Saturday that Daniel H. Weir,
was accidently killed in a lumbering operation in North Carolina,
the details are meagre.
The deceased was a son of John Weir Esq.,
of Stillwater, Guysboro County,
and a very well to do and highly respected young man.
For some years he was engaged with
the Davidson Lumber Company in Western Nova Scotia
as an expert construction man and had charge of the work
of getting the lumber out to the mills and for shipment.
He went from there to North Carolina in a similar capacity
with a large concern there and was in that employ
when he met his death.
He was a member of Acadia Masonic Lodge at Bridgewater, N.S.,
and the Masonic Lodge near where he was killed
have looked after the remains which are
being forwarded to Antigonish, N.S. from whence they will be conveyed
to Stellarton for interment.
