PEITZCHE, George Clarke:

PEITZCHE, George Clarke - 90, Antigonish, formerly of Goldboro,
Guysborough Co., died March 9, 2006,
in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish.

Born in Goldboro, he was a beloved son of the late
James and Bernice (Giffin) Peitzche.

He was a veteran of the Second World War,
having served in the Air Force Marine Division
and while serving, had the misfortune of being shipwrecked.
He was a former employee of Canada Post,
serving as postmaster in Goldboro until his retirement.
He was a member of Goldboro United Baptist Church, Goldboro.
George also took great pleasure from lobster fishing,
spending many hours on the water every year.
He is survived by his wife, the former Garnita Mae Silver;
brother, Ralph Peitzche, British Columbia; nieces, Sheila Bush and Bernice Innes;
nephews, Archie and David Jamieson, John Peitzche, as well as many other nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his beloved son, David Lloyd Peitzche;
sister, Edna Strople; brothers, Wilfred, Garfield, Harry, Fred,
Ernest, and James.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. on Sunday
in Goldboro United Baptist Church, Goldboro,
where funeral service will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating.
Interment will be in Bayview Cemetery, Goldboro.
Memorial donations may be made to Goldboro United Baptist Church,
Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care
of G.W. Giffin Funeral Home Ltd., Country Harbour.
