GOSHEN - Daniel Bert MacGrath, 69, of Goshen,
died Tuesday at home.
Born in South Lochaber, he was a son of the late Danny and Marion (Boggs) MacGrath.
He was a veteran of the Second World War, having served overseas with the Third Canadian Infantry Division.
He was a past employee of the Department of Highways,
former Christmas tree exporter and was a retired farmer.
He is survived by his wife, the former Doris Caroline Delaney;
a son, Phonse, Antigonish;
a daughter, Alberta (Mrs. Ronald Chisholm), Goshen;
six grandchildren,
five brothers,
Kennedy, Delbert, both of Eight Island Lake;
Lloyd, South Lochaber;
Carl, East River St. Mary's;
Edward, Oshawa, Ont.;
three sisters,
Catherine (Mrs. Alex Ross), Thelma (Mrs. Bruce Smith),
Myrtle (Mrs. Hillary Atkins) all of Trenton.
He was predeceased by a brother, Chelsey in infancy.
His remains are resting in Giffin's Funeral Home, Country Harbour, with visiting from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday in Kirk United Church, Aspen.
Interment will be in Baptist Cemetery, Aspen.
Donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Aspen United Church restoration fund.
