SMITH, Scott Ernest - Country Harbour Lake, Guysborough Co.,
died November 27, 1998, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
Born at Country Harbour Lake,
he was a son of the late Alexander and Lena (Malloy) Smith.
He was a retired labourer, having worked in the construction industry.
He also worked as a woodsman and as a sawmill worker.
He was an adherent of Zion United Church, Cross Roads, Country Harbour,
as well as Cross Roads United Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Harnish;
sons, Stephen, Colin, Calgary;
Brett, Scott, Country Harbour Lake,
Bart, Cross Roads,
Ohio, Antigonish Co.;
daughter, Linda (Mrs. Paul MacDougall), Port Hawkesbury;
brothers, Arthur, MacRitchie, Country Harbour Lake;
William, Waverley;
sisters, Stella, Guysborough;
Bessie Worth, Country Harbour;
Bertha (Mrs. Lloyd Christie), Pinevale, Antigonish Co.;
Lillian (Mrs. Joe Guthro), Reserve Mines;
nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by son, Joseph Irving;
brothers, Walter, Alexander, John;
sisters, Margaret, Sadie.
Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
Funeral 2 p.m. Monday
in Cross Roads United Baptist Church, Country Harbour,
Rev. Bob Manley officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Cross Roads, Country Harbour.
