S. Elizabeth Brymer

BRYMER,S. Elizabeth - 91, Vancouver,B.C.,
formerly of Guysborough, died October 21, 1995
in St. Vincent's Hospital, Vancouver.
Born in Gloucester, Mass., she was a daughter of the late
Frederick and Lillie (Goodwin) Reed. She was a graduate of
the Halifax Business College and Bryan and Stratton Business School,
Boston, Mass. She lived in the eastern United States for many years
before returning to Nova Scotia. She served the community
of Guysborough and was a member and past matron of
the Order of the Eastern Star; member and past president of
the Red Cross Society; member of Guysborough Memorial Hospital Board
and a founding member of the Historical Society of Guysborough.
She was also a member of Christ Church,
Guysborough and was church organist for many years.
Surviving are her daughter, Diane Voripaieff-Latham, Vancouver;
grandchildren, Anthony and Catherine Latham, Vancouver;
Julia Neske, Peter Baker, Hamilton, Ont.; Jane Baker, Halifax;
three great grandchildren in Hamilton; stepsons, Richard Voripaieff, Houston, Texas;
Gerald Brymer, Guysborough; Lloyd Brymer, Lawrencetown, Hfx. Co.;
son-in-law, Alexander Szabo, Burlington, Ont. She was predeceased
by her husband, Ambrose; brother, Clinton Reed; daughter, Cynthia Voripaieff-Szabo.
Funeral was held October 27 in St. Philip's Anglican Church,
Vancouver.Memorial service 2 p.m. November 10 in Christ Church, Guysborough,
Rev. Peter MacRae officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery,
Guysborough. In lieu of flowers, donations to
Primate's Fund of the Anglican Church or Multiple Sclerosis Society.
