Halifax- Mary Martha HANLON, 70,
175 Harlington Crescent, Halifax, formerly of Canso,
died Friday in Victoria General Hospital.
Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late
Walter and Mary(Maney)McNeary.
She graduated from St. Martha's Hospital, Antigonish,
as a registered nurse. She was employed with
the Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso for more than 30 years,
retiring in 1979. She was a member of
Star of the Sea Church, Canso.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Hanlon;
two sons; James. Halifax; Joseph, Calgary;
a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Ryan, Ottawa; eight grandchildren;
a sister, Sister Peter Claver, Lowell,Mass.
She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph.
The remains are resting in J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax,
and will be transferred today to
the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso,
with visitation after 7 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m.
Monday in Star of the Sea Church.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
