Born in Malay Falls, Halifax County,
she was a daughter of the late Augustis and Agnes Alberta (Nickerson) Sponagle.
After the death of her husband, she spent
three years in domestic cleaning service. She was a member of
Kings United Church, Loch Katrine, Guysborough County.
She was a member of UCW and Canadian Red Cross.
She is survived by a daughter, Loreen (Mrs. Edward Corkum), Toronto;
three sons, Carmen, Lochaber, Guysborough County;
James, Mississauga, Ont., Byron, Crossroads;
four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five sisters.
