LYNDS, Thomas Austin – 90,
Quebec City, formerly of Ecum Secum, Guysborough County,
died Friday in St. Brigid’s Nursing Home, Quebec City.
Born in Port Hilford, he was a son of the late
William Edward and Carrie (Hiltz) Lynds.
He was a fisherman and labourer all of his working life.
He is survived by his wife the former Nora Publicover,
two daughters, Gwen (Mrs. Claude Savard), Quebec City; Lillian (Mrs. Steve Cooke),
British Columbia, a brother, Fred, Dartmouth;
four grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son
Duncan.; a sister, Lillian Publicover.
The body is in Ecum Secum Funeral Home, visiting 2-4,
7-9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday
in St. Barnabas’ Church, Ecum Secum, Rev. Gavin Dunbar officiating.
Burial in parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
donations to Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
