OBITUARY from a Halifax newspaper ca. March 31, 1987

CANSO -- Everett Ansel Richardson, 60, Canso,
died Tuesday in Eastern Memorial Hospital,
Canso, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Canso, he was a son of the late
Frederick and Laura (Greencorn) Richardson.
He was a fisherman all of his life,
except for three years when he was
in the American Merchant Marine during the Second World War.
He was a past member of the IOOF
and Canso Fire Department. He is survived by
his wife, the former Jean Euloth; three daughters,
Linda (Mrs. Russell Gurney) and Bertha
(Mrs. Edward Dort), both of Canso; Florence (Mrs. Wayne Trowbridge),
Hamilton, Ont; three sons, Kenneth, Everett, Jr.,
and John all of Canso; two brothers, Floyd and Brantford,
both of Canso; 10 grandchildren. He was predeceased by
a brother, Purvis. The body is in family residence, Canso.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Friday
in St. Paul's United Church, Canso, Rev. Philip Kennedy officiating.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Donations may be made
to Canadian Cancer Society or St. Paul's United Church.
