HATTIE, Alfred Gregor - 81, 91 Metropolitan Ave., Lower Sackville,
Formerly of Sherbrook, Guysborough County,
died Saturday in the Halifax Infirmary.
Born in Sherbrook, he was a son of the late Alexander John and Amelia (McDaniel) Hattie.
He had been a resident of Lower Sackville for the past year.
Before that time, he lived at Sherbrook.
He was a member at St. James Presbyterian Church, Sherbrook, and a former member of the board of managers at the church.
He worked as a bus driver for the Eastern Shore Bus Service and as a school bus driver for the St. Mary's Municipal School Board.
He was a member of the New Horizons Senior Citizens Club, Sherbrook.
He is survived by his wife, the former Emily Sangster;
a daughter, Irma (Mrs. Harry Van VerZwaag), Woodstock, Ont.,;
a sister, Caroline (Mrs. Ralph Kane) Halifax;
two brothers, Herb, Halifax; Murdock, Dartmouth;
five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, Robert.
The body will be in H.W. Angus Funeral Home, Stillwater, Guysborough County, after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. James Prebyterian Church,
Rev. David Hayward officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Aspen.
