New Pokemon

Here is some info on the new Pokemon to be included in the Gold & Silver versions of the game. I have pics of some of them, but not all. I have lots of pics and info on Pikablu right here.

Houou

This Pokemon's Japanese name is Houou. You may have recognized it from the second episode of the T.V. series. It was the golden bird flying into the sun. It's the 4th legendary bird, and I've heard it's types are Psychic and Flying.

Togepi

This is Togepi. He is an egg-type Pokemon. He hatched from an egg on the show. Misty was the first to see him, so Togepi thought she was his mother. She got to keep him, even though Ash had the right to. I think this pokemon is more like Chansey, in that it brings its trainer happiness, but can't fight very well.

Bruno

This is Bruno. His Japanese name is Buru. I have no idea on his type or abilities, but it looks like a normal-type and might have attacks like bite and scracth. It looks like a pink bulldog in a dress.

Ho Ho

I don't know much about this Pokemon, Ho Ho, but it looks like a one-legged owl. Despite it's name, I doubt it has any relation to Houou. Ho Ho might have moves like peck, sand-attack, and wing-attack.

Tenriyuu

I've heard that Tenriyuu will be an electric and possibly dragon-type Pokemon. Maybe you get this pokemon when you use a Thunderstone on Dratini.

Kireihana

This Pokemon, Kireihana, seems to be a grass-type pokemon. With the new male/female feature in the Gold & Silver versions, Kireihana might be the female evolution of Oddish. I don't know for sure, though.

Donfan

Donfan made it's first appearance in the Japanese movie, "Mewtwo Strikes Back". It is almost definitely a ground-type pokemon, and maybe rock. It's moves might be earthquake, skull bash, and can probably learn fissure and strength. This Pokemon is not a 2 ton elephant like you may believe. It is actually about as tall as your waist.

Elekid

It's pretty obvious that this Pokemon is of the electric-type. It might have some relation to Electabuzz, but I'm not sure. Attacks might include: thundershock, thunderpunch, and light screen.

Yadokingu

This is Yadokingu. I've heard rumors that his American name will be Slowking, but this might just be a rumor. It is the evolution of Slowbro. Slowbro's trademark shell on it's tail moved to on top of it's head, like a crown.

Lugia

The Pokémon above is Lugia. He will first appear in the movie "Revolution Of Lugia". In the movie Ash will encounter someone that catches Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno. This summons the water-bird pokémon Lugia. He comes to destroy heaven and earth.

Itomaru

This is a Bug/Poison Pokémon. The stinger on its head resembles the one on weedles head. Maybe there is a connection there. Attacks may include poison sting, and many new moves.

Rediba

This is a lady bug pokemon. It is of the bug-type. It can fly, which gives it some advantage in battle.

Yamikarasu

This is probably the evolved form of Farfetch'd. Farfetch'd always acted like he was in the military, and Yamikarasu has armor and a helmet. He is a flying-type pokémon.

Otachi

Some say it is the evolution of Mariru (Pikablu). It is a flying squirrel Pokémon. It's name "O" means tail, and "tachi" means stand. It's tail is incredibly strong. It can stand straight up on it.

Herakurosu

This Pokémon looks like a horn beetle and may be a rival to Pinsir. It's name sounds like Pinsir's Japanese name, "Kairosu". It may be a very rare Pokémon.

Mereep

In Japanese merry has a relationship to the meaning of sheep because of the popular song called, "Merry's Sheep". So the name MEREEP is a combination of Merry and Sheep. This is an electric type Pokemon and is quite similar to Denryu.

Suikun

This pokémon, Suikun, is a water-type pokémon. Sui means "the water" and kun means "monarch." It is a very rare pokémon, often compared in rarity to Lugia.

Hanekko

Hanekko is a flying/grass-type pokémon. Hane means "the wing" and ko means "child".

Chicolita

This is a grass-type pokémon. It is one of the pokémon Ash gets to choose from in the begining of the game.

Hinoarashi

This is another one of the pokémon Ash gets to select at the begining. Hi means "fire" and arashi means "storm". Obviosly a fire pokémon that looks like a hedgehog.

Waninoko

This pokémon is the third pokémon that the hero gets to choose from in the begining. Wani mean "the crocodile" and ko means "child". It is a water-type pokémon that looks like a crocodile.

Nuoh

A water-type pokémon that looks like a yadon. It is said to be very rare.

Oddoshishi

This pokémon looks like a deer. It intimidates other pokémon because of its huge horns looking like eyes in the dark.

?????

This Pokémon may be Pikaflare which was said by many to be fake.
