I have been a major Boyz II Men fan since the early 1990s. As soon as I saw them and heard their beautiful voices, I knew that this would be no passing fancy--I would be a fan for life. A fan for life is what I am, because I respect and admire them, and I love their music.
Wanya is my favorite member of the group and this is why I decided to create a web page that was dedicated to him. His voice is wonderful, he is funny, nice, and handsome. Being nice is not an act that Wanya performs when the cameras are rolling. He is nice when the cameras are off and I know this because I met him and he was one of the nicest people I have ever met. He signed my
CD,
book, and
poster. He even let me take a
picture of him.
When I think of Wanya and Boyz II Men, the song
Girl in The Life Magazine comes to mind. The lyrics express how I feel about the group. I truly think that I fell in love from the moment I saw them. I can also relate to the verse that says "All of my friends used to laugh, said I was certifiably mad" because my friends thought I would never get the chance to meet them. Well, they were wrong and I actually got to meet my role models!!
Info about me:

Favorite Boyz II Men song: It's a tie between Doin' Just Fine, Fallin' (that song came on the single for "Thank You"), and I Will Get There.

Favorite Boyz II Men video: Uhh Ahh

Favorite Boyz II Men member: Wanya

Favorite Boyz II Men television performance: Disney's Boyz II Men: Going Home show

First Boyz II Men concert: January 28, 1995 at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, CA (row R, seat 18) with Brandy, etc.

Second Boyz II Men concert: August 19, 1995 at Irvine Meadows (now the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater) in Irvine, CA (row M, seat 117), with Montel Jordan and TLC (actually, TLC didn't show up for the concert).

Third Boyz II Men concert: May 17, 1998 at The (Great Western) Forum in Inglewood, CA (row 4, seat 9) with Next, Uncle Sam and (the original) Destiny's Child
Fourth time seeing BIIM sing at a concert: On May 20, 2000 I went to the Jammin' for Education concert (with a lot of singers, including Kelly Price, Avant, Luther Vandross and Tyrese) which came on TV as A Celebration of Black Music and BIIM sang Pass You By. It was in Santa Monica, CA at the Santa Monica Civic Center (row L, seat 16).
First time meeting BIIM: September 5, 1998 at the Beverly Center (that's a mall) in West Hollywood, CA when they were there at The Foot Locker to promote GROOVE (it was what their fan club called Fan Appreciation Day).
I am 29 years old, have a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics (I graduated cum laude and was 1 of only 7 econ majors to graduate with Honors) and work as an auditor. Besides Boyz II Men, my other hobbies include collecting Cabbage Patch Kids (I now have 31, since I started collecting in 1984, when they came out), watching the soap opera called One Life To Live, shopping, and reading books (my favorite authors are Patricia Cornwell, V.C. Andrews, Terry McMillan, John Sandford, Michael Chrichton, Dean Koontz, and James Patterson). In addition to liking Boyz II Men, I can also be described as very smart; my college grade point average is 3.689. While that may seem high, it is lower than my GPA in high school, which was 4.25 [4.0 was the highest you could get, but I took advanced placement (AP) classes]. The tests cost a lot, but they sure saved me time and money, because by passing them (actually, I only passed one and it was the one for economics) I got college credit for them, and didn't have to waste time taking the classes in college; one college book cost about the same thing the test cost. I am also a member of the honor society for economics, Omicron Delta Epsilon and the highest honor society in the country, Phi Kappa Phi. Other musicians that I like are Public Enemy (my favorite raps by them are Rebel Without A Pause and Fight The Power), Ginuwine (my favorite songs by him are Pony, Tell Me Do U Wanna, Only When UR Lonely, Differences and So Anxious), The Cranberries (the song I like by them is Ode To My Family), Nelly and a lot of other musicians. My favorite sports teams are the Los Angeles Lakers [they're a basketball team in the NBA (you could probably guess that I liked them because of the colors on the main page)] and the Philadelphia 76ers (not because BIIM grew up in Philly, but because they're a good team and I think Allen Iverson is so cute; he's #3 on the team).

I am so sorry (and mad) that a month after this page was made that I got very sick and couldn't update the page for about a year. Thanks to the people for keeping me in their prayers and hoping that I got better. Thanks to you guys who were patient enough to wait for me to get better and update this page. By the way, I am a much better! ![]()
