Ford Mustangs were brought to life due to the demand by the people for a smaller, faster, and sportier car. Ford Mustangs were first introduced on April 17, 1964. They first appeared in New York. The first year Mustang was sold it sold 680,969. Still today the Mustang lives on, not only in the new cars, but also the old classics. Some of the Most common Ford Mustang engines were the 170 C.I. V-6 the 200 C.I. straight six, the 289 C.I. V8, the Boss 302 and the and the 351 Cleveland . Ford used the 302 to answer the Camero's Z-28 threat, which it did with outstanding performance!!! The Boss took the 1969 and the 1970 TRANS-AM Championships!!! Still today the mustang can hold its own whether on the road or on the track, this car is truly a legend, and will continue to be!!!
