First you start out at Pallet Town. Go to the computer and withdraw the potion and now exit the house. Head North of Pallet town and go into the grass. Then comes Doctor Oak and stops you and tells you not to go into the wilderness without protecion so Mr Oak will bring you back to his lab and let you choose a pokemon you can either choose
#1.Bulbasaur
or
#2.Charmander
or
#3.Squirtle.
(Whatever you pick Gary will pic the advantage over your pokemon).Squirtle or Bulbasaur will be better for beginners because of they upcoming Gym leaders have a advantage over charmander but do as you will because im not choosing the pokemon. Then after you have your pokemon Gary will challange you to a match. This match isnt very hard but remember not to always use attack and you will probably win.Once you have passed Gary go to the house right behind Oak's Lab and talk to the girl. She will give you a map of the Routes and Cities.Once you have the map and the potion go North of Pallet and into the grassy area were Dr.Oak stoped you before and try not to walk around in the grass a lot because yor pokemon is weak and may die.

Lt. Surge is the gym leader of Vermilion City. He uses Electric pokemon, so watch out for the paralyz attacks. If you have the dig skill, you should defeat him easily, but it might not be so easy. Outside of his room, there are trash cans. You have to find the first lock and the second is right next to it. If you miss, you'll have to start all over again. If you win, you'll get the thunder badge. It'll allow u to use the hm skill fly in and out of battle. Your pokemon also gains speed. He'll also give you TM 24. It's Thunderbolt. Visit the Captain before you get off the ship. Talk to him and he'll give you HM 1 which is cut. Now, you'll be able to cut down trees that look like cactuses. You can use this HM over and over again, so you don't need to worry. Although, i must warn u, if you give it to a pokemon, they can't unlearn it, so pick your pokemon carefully.
After you finished your business in Vermilion City and the S.S. Anne, go here to battle some trainers. The trainers here have electric, water and other pokemons, so be careful. But you won't get too far on this route, because the snorlax is blocking the way. So you'll have to wake him up later. Also, Prof Oak's aide is at the gate house, so go there to get the itemfinder. When you get to the fifth floor, there'll be weird squards. That squares are to heal your pokemon, so you don't have to go back to the pokemon center. Now go to the top and you'll find out that it's the marowak that's haunting the place. Beat it and go in. There, you'll see 3 team rocket members. Beat them and go to Mr. Fuji. Talk to him and follow him. When you get to his house, he'll give you advice and the pokeflute. Now, head for Saffron City.
Saffron City
Here is Saffron City. It's the heart of the pokemon country. It's the largest city here. It's home to the Silph Co. Headquarters. It hosts the finest minds of the world and team rocket has them held in hostage. Get ready to fight them!
Fighting Dojo
The Fighting Dojo is at the top left of the city. Go there and battle them. They have fighting pokemon, so a psychic pokemon should do well against it. It's like a gym, but when you defeat the leader, you get a pokemon instead of a badge.
Silph Co.
In the middle of Saffron City lies the headquarters for the Silph Co. Team Rocket has taken the building over in the hopes of tinding the secret to their new product, the Master Ball. They've raided their labs and even taked the company's President hostage intheir quest. Help the Silph Co. and it's employees!
This is a 11-floor building and it's the largest and most tiring dungeon of the game. There are 30 Trainers here ranging from Poison-spitting Rockets to electrical Scientists. The experience levels here start at Level 25 and go up.
The employees of the Silph Co are scared to death, not only about their jobs but their lives as well. If you stop to talk with them and allay their fears, they might have a helpful gift for you. Remember this before you take the teleport pad to the President's Office.
Teleport Pads and Key Cards
You will have an easier time if you get the Key Card before using the Teleport pads extensively. By the time you find this item on the Fifth Floor, you should have taked out about half of the enemy Trainers. If you clear out the rest of the levels before you start zapping around, ou'll have effectively taken care of any deadly situations before going up against the boss.
When you find the silph co worker next to the bed, you'll know you're getting close to Giovanni, the head rocket. Here you an rest and heal your Pokemon's wounds before going up against the boss man himself.
Why didn't your Rival do anything to free the Silph Co.? Is he just here to taunt you? Defeat him again then go onto the 11th Floor
Master Ball
To rescue the Silph Co. President you must battle with Giovanni once again. This time he's added some high level Nidoran to his aresenal, so watch out for their poisonous attacks. With Pokemon in the Level 35 to 41 range, he's going to be tough to defeat. But if you found the battle against your Rival pretty easy, then this will be too. With Giovanni vanquished once again, you'll find yourself on the receiving end of a fabulous reward, the Master Ball. You only get one of these, so use it with discretion.
Note
It's highly recommended that you store the Master Ball away until you can enter the Unknown Dungeon. The Mewtwo there is fierce but a highly desirable Pokemon. Using your Master Ball on him is a very good idea!
Route 12
South of Lavender Town is a series of interconnected docks that span the entire eastern coast of the Pokemon realm. If you have the Surf ability, you can glide down the side with no interruptions whatsoever. If you don't, you'll have to walk and deal with the Fishermen you meet on the way.
The snorlax in the Road
You won't make if far unless you have a Poke Flute in your possession. A big Snorlax is blocking the road and the only way to wake him is with that flute. Once awake, he'll attack and you'll have an opportunity to capture him. Try to use Ultra Balls if you've made it Fuchsia City already. If not, I hope that you have a large supply of Super Balls on hand. This rare Pokemon is tough to catch.
What a Great Fishing Pole!
One of the Fishing Guru's brothers has bought a house on Route 12. This is a great opportunity for you to learn even more about fishing lore. If you listen closely to what this guy has to say, he'll give y ou a Super Rod that will allow you to catch all kinds of fish.

Exp. All
If you've collected 50 Pokemon, Prof. Aok's Aide has another present for you. This time you'll get a piece of research equipment called Exp. All. When you have this amongst your items, all of the pokemon you have with you will receive a portion of the experience points handed out after a battle. Here's how it works: The experience points earned are divided in half first and on half is divided among all of your party. The other half is divided among the Pokemon who actually participated in battle. Sound neat? well, when your part is small it is. But if you are carting around six pokemon, the allotment of all of those experience points can get kind of time consuming.

Before you can get very far down Route 16, you need two things: the poke flute to wake up the annoying snorlax who is blocking the road and a bicycle. If you haven't already gone back to cerulean city with you bike voucher do so immediately. They don't call this cycling road for nothing!
Snorlax
You won't get very far unless you wake this public nuisance and get him moving. If you haven't added one of these to your collection (there are only two of them), make sure that you nab this one. Just be patient and he'll eventually be yours.
Flight
Using the cut ability, clear out the bush right before the Snorlax and head toward the northern gate house. On the other side is a house where a little girl will give you her HM 02 machine. This will allow any of your flight pokemon to transport you anywhere on the map as long as you've been there before. This is a great way to travel to those out of the way places!

At the southernmost part of the main okemon Continent lies the seaside town of Fuchsia. Here you'll find the famous Safari Zone, home to many rare and unique Pokemon.
Fuchsia Gym
Gym leader Koga has barricaded himself behind invisible walls just to make sure that you don't escape the hands of his junior trainers. However, if you're playing this on a Super Game Boy, the walls just won't seem that invisible.
The choice of poisonous and psychic pokemon fulfills Koga's wish to fight by cleverness rather than strength. You've seen how many HP you can lose when poisoned or otherwise unable to fight, so he may have a point. However, if you've raised strong offensive fighters and are carrying a few Full Heals, you're going to walk all over his crafty monsters.
When you defeat him, Koga relinquishes his Soul Badge. This raises your Pokmone's defense and allows you to Surf the waves to the south, if and when you find HM 3. His present of TM06 (toxic) is also a helpful addition to your quest.

Game Warden's HOuse
The Game Warden would love to tell you all about his Strength, but he lost his flase teeth while patrolling the grounds of the Safari Zone. Maybe if you help him out, he'd teach you how to move that heavy boulder.
Fishing Guru
This home belongs to the third Fishing Guru. If you haven't already picked up the Super Rod from his other brother on Route 12, then the Good Rod he gives you will seem fine until then.
