In July of 1999 the town of Moorpark, California was besieged by the terror of an entity known only as The Moorpark Mangler. Housepets, mainly cats, were found decapitated, only their heads left in the front lawn of the victims' home. This grisly ritual continues to this day and rumors have circulated everywhere from a crazed maniac, to a satanic cult, to some wild animal that strikes leaving no trace. Citizens are stumped as to the origin of this horror. Some speculations have even ranged to extraterrestrial origin. However, the fact remains that someone or something is butchering housepets and leaving what is left of their head in the front lawn of the owners' home.
