Will You Wait For Me?

I was never informed by the writers as to if there were any intend chapters for this. Considering that, I have just posted the whole story on this page. Stay tuned for a squeal from these talented writers!

Scott Moffatt scanned the crowd. Wow he thought I never knew girls could be so loud. His gaze set on a girl with blonde hair around 16. She was staring at him. Whoa what a babe Scott thought. He strapped his electric guitar to the amplifiers and looked at his brothers. Clint was talking to Bob and laughing. Dave was staring at all the banners. Nodding at them, and glancing at the blonde girl again, Scott began to sing. Later.

"Oh my god!" Meaghan screamed

"There he is! Hey! He's in the back!" Taylor smiled at her best friend.

"Duh" she screamed back "He's the keyboarder. He has to."

She had to yell to be heard over the screaming fans. Taylor grinned at the sight of Scott, who was hooking up his guitar. Hey, he's wearing the same pants as me she thought with a smile as Scott started singing All I Need is you. She didn't even know why she liked the Moffatts. She was into Metalica and Nirvana. But immediately after seeing the I'll be there for you video, she had loved the way Scott's eyes shone whenever he was singing. The way he sang every song with feeling. After a few more songs, the concert ended and Meaghan and Taylor made their way to the gate. Suddenly, someone grabbed Taylor's arm and pulled her behind the curtains. She whirled around to see Scott. Her eyes went wide.

"Hi" Scott said. Taylor blushed.

"I'm Taylor O'Neil." she said, "I already know who you are."

"So, I know this seems weird but would you like to go out sometime?" Scott got right to the point. Taylor took a deep breath. Scott hoped she would say yes. But when he looked into her eyes, they were brimmed with tears.

"What's wrong?" he asked, horrified that he had made her cry.

"Nothing" she said quickly, wiping her eyes. "I'd love to."

"Hey Tay. I'm gonna write to the Moffatts and tell them to put Dave at the front..." Meaghan stared at them. "Oh my god."

Scott laughed. "I'll take that into consideration." he told her

"Uh Meaghan, this is Scott"

Meaghan rolled her eyes, "no duh"

"And this is Meaghan" Taylor finished

Scott shook her hand "Nice to meet you"

Meaghan's face had gone white.

"Ya know Scott" Dave said, coming up behind them "You should be careful. You could get mobbed out here." He stared at Meaghan and Taylor. "Uh Oh"

"It's ok Dave." Scott told him. "They're cool." Dave still looked uncertain.

"Hey Dave!" Meaghan said, "How come you're always in the back?" Dave and Meaghan talking of course.

"Would you like to come with us on tour?" Scott asked suddenly. Taylor nodded.

"Sure. I'm sure my mom would let me" with that, she looked at Meaghan. Meaghan shot her a look that said "Tell him already "

Not yet.

As Meaghan and Taylor called their parents, Scott looked at Dave.

"How are we going to keep this low-key?" Scott asked him. But Dave didn't get a chance to answer.

"Hi mom?" Taylor asked "ok. I know this sounds weird but..."

"Are you ok? Where are you?" her mother interrupted.

"Yeah. I'm with the Moffatts. Well, two of them anyway. They want me to come with them on the summer tour."

Her mom sounded uncertain "Taylor, are you sure they're the Moffatts? Even if they are, are you sure you're up to this? With your condition…"

"I'm fine mom. I'm sure. I don't have a condition. I'll be back. I promise."

"Well, ok but come back to me alright?" Her mom's voice cracked.

Taylor hung up the phone and turned to the others.

"What condition?" Scott asked her. Meaghan shot her a look but said nothing.

"My mom is just paranoid, is all" Taylor said quickly.

"Alright" Dave said quickly "You guys go and pack. Be here by nine."

Meaghan sat in Taylor's room and sighed "Wow, we're actually going out with two of the Moffatts"

Taylor put her finger to her lips, "Shhhh. I don't want Tara to know"

"Oh, and I suppose that she won't notice when you aren't here all summer?"

"I just don't."

Meaghan stared at her "You've been keeping a lot of secrets from a lot of people lately"

"Scott" she ticked off one finger "Tammy"

Taylor shook her head and pulled her suitcase down the stairs.

When they arrived at the tour bus, Scott was already waiting for them.

"Where's Dave?" Meaghan asked him.

"He's trying to clean the bus before you get there." He told her. "Wow, you've made him clean. He must really like you"

Meaghan shot him a look and climbed into the bus. Inside, she found Dave making up a bunk.

"Dave, if I tell you something will you promise not to tell Scott?" she asked him.

Dave looked at her. "What's wrong?"

She sat on the bed. "I know I've only known you for about 4 hours but I need to tell you so that you don't ask questions" Dave sat beside her.

"Tell me"

Dave linked his pinky with hers "Promise"

"Ok. Don't get freaked ok? It's about Taylor. They just found out that she has cancer."

Dave gasped.

"She doesn't have long to live. She has about a year."

"Oh my God" Dave whispered.

Meaghan's eyes were filled with tears. "She doesn't want Scott to know so please don't tell him"

"I won't"

Just then, Scott and Taylor came in.

"What's wrong?" Scott asked.

"Nothing, She just got some dust in her eyes" Dave told him.

"Are you ok?"

Scott shrugged and said "Well, we'd better go. Where's Tony?"

"He's already at the wheel" Dave told him. "Where's Bob and Clint?"

"I'll go find them" Taylor said quickly. She ran off the bus before anyone could stop her. She had just gotten a terrible pain and didn't want Scott to ask questions. She walked out of sight of the bus and rested against a tree. She started breathing rapidly. Sliding down, Taylor squeezed her eyes shut.

"Tay?" Scott called. He was worried about her. She had run off the bus with a terrible look on her face. He heard something behind the bus. Peering around the edge of the bus, Scott saw two dark forms. It was Bob and..… Who was that? Scott stopped breathing. Taylor. Taylor was kissing his little brother. Scott stormed up to them.

"What gives?" he demanded. They pulled away.

"Scott! I'd like you to meet…"

"My girlfriend"

Bob looked confused. "Huh? Scott, this is Tamara."

"Yeah, right. Tay, what exactly are you trying to do?"

"Wait." ‘Taylor' interrupted. "Tay? Taylor?"

"Uh, yeah"

"Oh. I get it. You see, Taylor's my… Owwwww!" Tamara fell to the ground, gasping.

"Tams? What's wrong?" Bob asked, alarmed.

"I'm fine but Taylor isn't. Go find her. Now."

Scott rushed away from the bus. What had happened? Where was Taylor?

"Tay?" Scott spotted something lying by a tree. He ran over. It was Tay. She had her eyes squeezed shut and she was breathing really fast. He scooped her up and brought her back to the bus where Tamara and Bob had told the others. Scott laid her on a bunk.

Her eyes fluttered open "Scott?" she asked faintly.

"It's ok. I'm here."

"Maybe we should get a doctor" Dave suggested.

"A doctor can't do anything" Tamara muttered. Meaghan jabbed her in the ribs. Scott looked confused but didn't say anything.

The next day, everybody was sitting on the floor of the bus.

"Let's play Truth or Dare!" Dave exclaimed. Everybody agreed.

"Clint, Truth or Dare?" Taylor asked him.

"Chicken!" Scott crowed. Clint smiled.

"It's the safest one," he said calmly, unperturbed.

"Ok, Clint, are you secretly going out with anyone?" She asked him.

"In this room?" he teased, winking at her. She and Scott both rolled their eyes.

"No" she told him.

"Yes" he grinned.

"Oh my god!" Meaghan squealed. "Who? What does she look like?"

"Her name is Kristen Ridge and she's a total hottie"

Taylor and Tamara gasped. "That's our cousin!"

"Oh my god," Bob joked " We're terrible. We can't even date different family's"

A week later, Meaghan, Tamara and Taylor were curled up on the small couch, watching the boys' interview.

"So, how did you guys meet?" the unsuspecting reporter asked. Scott blushed.

"Well, uh, We kinda met when our mother brought them home from the hospital"

The girls laughed so hard Tony came in to see what was the matter. They told him, and he started laughing too. Suddenly, Meaghan shushed them.

"Quiet, he's asking them if they have girlfriends"

The boys looked uncertainly at each other.

"Um," Dave stammered "Not really. I guess we don't really have any time."

Now the girls looked at each other. What?

Meaghan quickly shut off the TV and went to her bunk.

"Meaghan!" Tamara and Taylor ran after her. "Meaghan, what's your problem? They said they would have to keep us low-key."

Meaghan glared at them.

"Oh, and I suppose that pretending we don't exist is a great way to keep us low-key."

Meaghan waited until Dave got back, which was after 12:00. Scott and Taylor immediately sneaked over to Taylor's bunk where it could be somewhat quiet.

"3-2-1" Taylor whispered. As if on cue, Meaghan started screaming.

"Wow, Dave, what a great way to keep us low-key. Don't give me that weird look, You said when we first met, that you wouldn't be able to tell anyone for a while. Well guess what Dave? It's a while later and you're still keeping us secret. We're not a Moffatt cover-up!"

Scott and Taylor cracked up. "It's a Moffatt conspiracy!" Scott whispered. That made them start laughing all over again.

Suddenly, the door slammed. Meaghan didn't see them as she screamed over her shoulder.

"None of us want to be hidden the rest of our lives Dave! Not Tammy, not Taylor, the life she has left!" Then she saw them. "Uh, oh"

Taylor looked at her, Scott gave her a puzzled expression. Suddenly Taylor ran out of the room and into the bathroom.

"Taylor!" Meaghan raced after her. Scott caught her by the arm.

"No, let me" he said. He knocked on the door "Tay, it's me" The door opened slightly and Scott slipped in. He waited until she looked up at him.

"Okay," he said, "I'm a little confused here. Why did you run away? What did Meaghan mean?"

Taylor took a deep breath. "I'm sorry."

"You don't have to be sorry. Just tell me what's wrong."

"Scott, I know you're a little freaked." She started.

"Kinda." Said Scott sarcastically.

"But can I tell you after I talk to Meg?

Scott sighed. "Alright"

When they came out of the bathroom, Meaghan rushed to her. "Oh, Taylor I'm so sorry"

"It's alright" Taylor told her, hugging her. "I'm going to tell him" She whispered.

Meaghan's eyes filled with tears. "Good"

The next day, Taylor followed Scott off the bus to a nearby tree. He sat down under it and mentioned for her to sit beside him.

"Scott, this is really hard for me to tell you this…" she began.

"Just get it out" he was getting worried now.

"Scott, I'm… I'm dying" Scott stared at her in shock.

Taylor continued "From cancer. I…I have a year and a half left."

He looked away. "Scott, I'm sorry. I didn't want anymore people feeling sorry for me or being totally nice to me just because…" she didn't finish her sentence. Scott got up and walked away, leaving Taylor sitting alone.

Scott couldn't believe it. Why hadn't she told him?

"A year and a half" he murmured. That wasn't very long, when you thought about life.

He realized they had never kissed, never really acted like boyfriend and girlfriend. Suddenly, Scott knew what he had to do.

He found her still sitting against the tree. She looked up at him when he came near her.

"Hi" she said softly.

"Hi" he replied, sitting beside her.

"Guess you hate me huh" she said. Scott didn't say anything, instead, he kissed her gently. She tensed up, but kissed him back. When she let go, Scott smiled.

"That answer your question?"

"Nah, I think I need a reminder" Scott laughed and kissed her again.

"You know, I'm really glad you're not mad" Taylor told him.

"Because you are one awesome kisser" Taylor smiled.

Taylor leaned up against Scott and sighed. "Scott, I have a problem" It was three weeks later and they were sitting on Scott's bunk.

"No kidding" Scott joked.

"Scott I'm serious!" Taylor cried. "It's about Tara…" She was interrupted by Meaghan, who had run into the room.

"You know how hard it is to walk on these things?" she asked.

"We're kinda in the middle of something…" Taylor started.

"I know, I mean, how do you guys breathe? I've kissed before, but not like you two. Like, do you…"

Taylor winced. "Meg, please"

"Sorry, So anyway, we gotta go get some pizza."

"Why?" Taylor asked.

"Cuz Dave's up to something and I'm not talking to him and…"

Taylor held up her hand. "Save it for pizza"

"What about…" Scott began.

"Later" Taylor kissed him and followed Meaghan to the front of the bus. When the bus stopped, her, Meaghan and Tamara walked into the nearest pizza place.

"Ok, we've been going out with the guys for four weeks now." Taylor started.

Tamara coughed. Meaghan and Taylor gasped.

"Tara," Taylor said slowly. "How long have you been going out with Bob?"

Tamara clenched her mouth shut. "Can't tell"

Taylor tickled her "Tell me!"

Tamara gave up "3 months"

"Three months!" Meaghan exclaimed. Tamara nodded.

"How come you never told me?" Taylor demanded.

"How come you never told me about Scott?" Tamara challenged.

Taylor ignored the question. "So, Meg, why haven't you and Dave kissed yet?"

Meaghan frowned. "I don't know."

"What about me?" Tamara asked innocently.

"Oh, we know about you" Taylor teased. "I saw a certain someone with a certain somebody yesterday making out on the couch"

Tamara blushed.

Two days later, Clint, Dave, Bob, Scott and the girls were staying in a hotel. It was a nice change from the tour bus. Clint, Bob and Tamara left for the arcade and Scott, Taylor, Meaghan and Dave were left in the pool. Meaghan stayed on the opposite side of the pool from Dave.

Finally, Scott and Taylor gave up trying to bring them together and just left for the room.

After a while, Dave swam over to Meaghan. She was going to swim away, but Dave caught her leg and she went under. When she came back up, Dave laughed.

"Don't laugh at me!" Meaghan shrieked and lunged at him. They splashed and pushed each other like little kids when Dave suddenly caught her by both arms and held her tightly in one place.

She looked in to his eyes as if in a trance. Their lips met. Suddenly, Meaghan pulled away.

"I'm sorry for yelling," she said

"Don't be sorry" he whispered and kissed her again.

Scott and Taylor were making out in the room when Meaghan rushed in.

"Oh my god he kissed me!" she screamed.

Taylor groaned. "Can't you leave us alone while we're kissing?"

"Making out" Meaghan corrected her.

Meaghan continued "Anyway, we were in the pool and he came over to me and when I started to swim away, he grabbed my arm and dunked me under"

"Oh that's so romantic," Scott said sarcastically.

"Shut up. So we started splashing and pushing each other and then we suddenly… kissed." She sighed. "He is such a great kisser"

Scott and Taylor both rolled their eyes. Meaghan ran out of the room to tell Tamara and Taylor turned back to Scott. He was staring at the ceiling with a frown on his face.

"You're mad" Taylor observed.

"No," Scott replied "just thinking"

"Bout what?" she asked

"Nothing. Now where were we…"

"Ok." Bob cornered Tamara "Talk. What's going on? Why do you act so weird around Taylor? Are you guys in a fight?"

"No" Tamara said tears in her eyes. "We're not in a fight."

"And I also want to know why everybody knows something I don't. And why Scott is so quiet all the time."

Tamara sighed deeply. "Ok. Taylor has… cancer." She couldn't hold it in anymore. She sobbed the rest in Bob's arms "She's not going to make it. She has a year and a half."

Bob was speechless. Tamara wiped her eyes.

"Bob," she said, "can you please talk to Tay? She hasn't cried since god knows when."

"How about I get Scott to?" Bob suggested gently "It'll be good for the two of them"

"Good idea"

Bob found Scott sitting by himself by the pool.

"Scott?" he said softly. Scott whirled around. He quickly got up and was about to walk away but Bob grabbed his arm.

"Talk to me"

"About what?" he really didn't need this.

"Taylor" Bob answered.

"No" he said stubbornly.

"Oh come on Scott! You gonna have to talk to her. She's about to crack up. You're her boyfriend. Act like one."

"How am I supposed to talk about her own death Bob? What am I supposed to do if she starts crying?" What if I start crying? He added silently to himself.

"Hold her." Came his response.

Scott smiled slightly "You know everything, don't you little bro?"

"Hey, I was just with Tams. I held her while she cried" Bob put his hand on his older brothers' shoulder.

"Tay?" Scott looked at her peaceful face. She was asleep on the bed, where he had seen her last.

She looked so calm, he was almost afraid to touch her. He ran his finger across her lips.

Taylor mumbled softly to herself and whispered. "I love you" Suddenly, her expression of peace tuned to one of absolute terror.

"No!" she screamed "No!"

Scott shook her awake. "It's alright Tay, I'm here."

Taylor opened her eyes. "Scott?"

"Yeah. It's me. What's wrong?"

"Nothing, just a bad dream."

Scott sat next to her. "We need to talk"

"Everything. I gotta ask you some questions" Scott breathed deeply.

"Ok. Numero Ono. Why do you like me?"

Taylor laughed. "What?"

"Just answer the question."

"Ok." She said slowly. "I have no idea"

Scott rolled his eyes "Oh thank you, that's so flattering"

"No. I mean I guess I like the way you laugh, the way you smile, the way your eyes shine when you sing every song and the way you sing it with feeling."

"Oh." He sounded disappointed.

"Oh yeah, I also think you are extremely hot"

He smiled. "Thanks"

"What's the next question?"

"Oh. I don't know. I have a headache." He rubbed his head.

"Oh poor baby. Need a kiss?"

Scott smiled "Yes, very much"

Taylor kissed him but he didn't really kiss her back.

"Are you afraid of dying?" Scott asked suddenly. It took her by surprise but she answered it.

"Sometimes. When it hurts, I just want it to stop ya know? But when I'm with you, or anyone else, I wish with all my heart I didn't have to…go" That was it. She couldn't hold it in anymore.

Taylor started to cry. Scott was shocked but he did as Bob said and held her close. A tear rolled down Scott's face. Before he knew it, he was crying silently too. But he never let go. When they both stopped, Scott said in a husky voice.

"I'll be there that day"

As if in agreement, they kissed deeply.

I can't do this Taylor thought. They were back on the road and she was sitting on her bunk.

I can't love him; I'll just lose him. It's not fair to him. It's already the end of July and we'll be going back to school in two months. She was afraid to get close to anyone, much less fall in love. It wasn't fair to Scott. But she couldn't help it. He was so caring, so kind, not to mention very hot. The door opened and Bob walked in.

"Hey" he greeted her.

"Hey" she replied.

"I guess you're a little tired" Bob said

Taylor looked at him in horror. Bob quickly corrected himself.

"Oh no, not like that, I mean you and Scott… crying." She nodded.

"Thanks" he said

"For what?"

"For letting Scott cry. He really needed it. Our schedule has been pretty hectic lately. And then with you… I guess it took a lot of guts for him to cry in front of you."

Taylor didn't say anything.

"Well, I'd better go."

"Hey Scott my man" Tamara said, coming up behind him. "Whaz up?"

"Which one are you?" Scott asked wearily.

Lately her and Taylor had been dressing exactly alike. So Scott and Bob had to constantly ask who was who or else they might wind up making out with the wrong girlfriend because nobody could tell them apart except for Meaghan, who had a strange talent for telling twins apart.

"Tamara" Tamara told him.

Today they wore identical tank tops, identical cargos. Taylor had even taken her belly button ring out and Tamara had gotten her ears pierced four more timed to match Taylor.

"I guess you'll be in Canada in a year and a half" Tamara said lightly.

"Look Scott, if you want me to get lost, just say the word." She frowned "or two"

"Nah, it's ok"

Meanwhile, Bob, who had come up behind Taylor, nuzzled her neck.

"Hey babe" he purred "Why don't we…"

"Uh Bob," Taylor interrupted "I'm Taylor"

Bob's face turned a deep shade of red "Oh my god. I'm sorry. I thought you were…"

Taylor laughed "It's ok. Here" She kissed him on the cheek. He turned even redder.

"Oh my god!" she mock cried, "I'm so sorry! I thought you were…"

Bob laughed "Clint?"

She slapped him playfully "Shhhh!"

After Bob left, Meaghan rushed in "What was that?" she demanded.

"You kissed him!"

"How do you know I'm Taylor? I'm Tara!" Taylor smiled.

"Yeah, whatever Tay. I can't believe you kissed him!"

Taylor rolled her eyes. "Oh, please. It was a peck on the cheek."

"A peck or not, I saw him come up to you and nuzzle your neck then you turn around and kiss him!"

"Oh, give me a break"

"He's your twin sister's boyfriend! Your identical twin sister!" she stormed out of the room.

The following week passed quickly. One night, Taylor was checking in to another hotel for the 7 of them. When they were settled, the others left for the pool and Scott and Taylor stayed in the hotel room. They lay together on the bed, watching TV.

"It's 11:00," Taylor said.

"No duh"

"Shouldn't they be back by now?"

"No" said Scott without looking up. "They have the pool all night.

Scott shut off the TV. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing. Sing to me"

Scott gave her a weird look. "Which one?"

"Don't Judge This Book"

"It's country" Scott told her.

"I know" she said "So?"

"Bob sings lead"

"Your point being…"

"Whatever" As he sang, Scott could felt Taylor drift asleep. He turned out the light, pulled a blanket over them and continued singing. It wasn't long before he nodded off too.

"Oh my god!" Scott woke with a start. "Scott why?"

It was Clint. What are you guys doing here?" Scott demanded. Clint rolled his eyes.

"Duh. We're staying here. Guess what? You locked the door." He stared at him. "We had to get another room" Suddenly Scott realized what Clint must be thinking.

"Oh no, this isn't what it looks like"

"I hope not Scott, I really hope not."

"Clinton Thomas John Moffatt…" Scott started.

"Your clothes are sideways"

"At least they're on" Too late Scott said the wrong words. Clint looked shocked but continued.

"The blankets are a mess."

"Well duh Clint we slept in them!" Clint's jaw dropped.

"Clint," Scott said slowly "I swear, this isn't what it looks like"

Clint ignored him "Scott, you're only 16"

"Gil was 14" Scott blurted. Now Clint's eyes were wide.

"Clint will you look around? We didn't do anything! We just fell asleep!"

"Ok, ok, I believe you. Now go tell that to everyone else"

Scott yelped "What?!"

"Well, what were we supposed to think? The door was locked and there were voices and moaning" "Clint, you know we both talk in our sleep. So does Tamara"

Clint raised an eyebrow "oh? And how would you know that?"

Scott threw up his hands in exasperation. "Oh my…"

Clint laughed "Get a grip big bro. I was only kidding."

But Scott was already out the door.

"Uh guys, I hate to tell you this but there's a crowd of girls coming right at us!!!!"

The teens dashed outside to the tour bus just made it before the screaming fans came out.

"Whoa, that was close" Meaghan breathed when they were safely on the road.

"Yeah." They all agreed.

Three weeks later, Taylor and Scott were sitting under a tree at a rest stop.

Taylor kissed him teasingly, but Scott was stiff.

"What's wrong?"

"Tay, I've only known you for about 3 weeks"

Taylor stared at him. "Scott, we've been going out for almost 3 months"

"Scott, what's wrong? Why are you mad at me?" Scott looked away.

"I'm not mad" he said, "I guess I'm afraid to get… close to you" When he looked back, there were tears in his eyes.

"I'm sorry" was all she said.

"No I'm sorry. I'm acting like a total baby" Scott wiped his eyes.

"Scott," Taylor said, "You'll never lose me. I'll always be there for you. In your heart"

Scott smiled and began to sing quietly. "Na Na Na, Na Na Na Na Na Na…"

Later that day, they were back on the road, and Taylor was dressing when Scott walked in.

"Oh. I'm sorry" He stammered.

"No, it's ok" Taylor laughed "This is an actual top. It's not a bra."

"Whatever. Hey, you put your belly button ring back in" he observed.

"Yeah, I like it." She murmured. She turned back to the mirror. "Do I look fat?"

"No. You're just right." Scott assured her, resting his hands on her stomach.

"Are you going swimming?" she asked him. No duh Tay, she scolded herself that's probably why he doesn't have a shirt on and has his swimsuit on.

Scott didn't seem to care "Yeah, wanna come?"

"Nah" she twisted her head around so that she could she him better. He kissed her neck and slowly pulled her on the bunk, working his way up to her mouth.

"Scott" Taylor whispered "Scott, we can't do this"

"Do what? We're not doing anything wrong." He rolled over and played with her belly button hoop. "Why are you so paranoid?"

"I'm not" she defended herself. "It's just…"

"Just tell me if you start to feel uncomfortable and I'll back off. I'll just kiss you alright? Is that ok?"

Taylor sighed "Cut it out"

"No honestly Tay"

"Fine" Scott kissed her hoop, then her stomach. She tensed, and he laid his head on her stomach.

"It's not like they'll be any consequences"

Taylor gasped "Scott!"

"What?" Scott stared up at her. There was a frown on her face and she had the hiccups, something he knew she did when she was upset. ‘How come we've never frenched before?' she's once asked him.

"Let's do it now." He said aloud. Taylor's eyes were wide with horror.

"Scott, I've gotta go" she said quickly.

"No Tay, please, I'm sorry. I meant…. Remember when you asked me why we've never frenched? Well, I meant… Uhhhh!!!! Who cares? I just totally freaked you out and you probably hate me"

"No, I'm sorry Scott, I am paranoid." She shut her eyes and took a deep breath.

"So are we cool?" Scott asked.

"Good. Cuz I really want to kiss you! Please?"

Taylor laughed and let him kiss her for a few seconds then shoved her tongue in his mouth.

"Two down, one to go" she muttered. Suddenly, Tamara walked in.

"Oh." Was all she said.

"Ok. Tara, this isn't what it looks like" Taylor started.

"I sure hope not." After much explaining, they finally convinced her and she left.

"What is it with everybody?" Scott complained.

"They think that cuz of me, we'd be willing to do anything. Who cares anyway?" Taylor added.

She ran her hands through his brown and blonde hair.

"Sometimes it's hard to believe you're real" Scott whispered to her.

The next day, Scott and Taylor were sitting on Scott's bunk, making out.

"Man, don't you guys ever give it a rest?" Meaghan called to them.

"Yeah, like how do you breathe?" Dave joined in. They ignored them.

"Hey, lovebirds!" A voice said behind them. They turned to see Clint. "Guess what?"

"What?" they asked in unison.

"Our next show is in Ontario" he answered

"So?" Taylor couldn't see the big deal.

"Well, you're a nice cousin," Clint told her "I'll give you a clue Kristen Ridge"

"Are we going to go see her?" Taylor asked.

"No duh."

"Now I'm literally bringing the Moffatts" Taylor laughed.

"Hey Tay!" Kristen exclaimed when Taylor called her on the cell, "I heard you're bringing a really hot guy"

Taylor smiled. Kristen didn't know about Scott and she thought Taylor didn't know about Clint.

"Well, when you get here, I have someone I want you to meet. He's also coming that day"

"Want me to bring The Moffatts?" Taylor asked.

Kristen chuckled. "Nah, I don't think you need to."

When Kristen picked them up, she met Clint first. Then Taylor and Scott walked in with their arms around each other. Kristen's' jaw dropped.

Then Meaghan and Dave and Tamara and Bob walked in behind them.

"Hey Kristen" Taylor teased "I brought the Moffatts"

They could only stay for the show, and Clint spent every waking moment with Kristen.

When they were back on the road, Scott was sitting on the couch with Taylor, chattering away about school.

"So where are you going?" he asked her.

"I'm not going," she said quietly.

Scott stared at her in disbelief. "What?"

"I said I'm not going. What's the point?" she argued.

"Well, what about all your friends? Your family?"

A tear rolled down Taylor's cheek. "I thought you'd understand why. Why should I when it's not like I'll be going to college or anything"

Scott knew she had a point. "But…"

"No buts Scott. I'm not going and that's the end of it." She got up and ran out of the room.

Tay's not going? This is too much Scott thought to himself. A single tear escaped from his blue eyes and dropped to the floor.

The next morning, Scott found a note by his bed.

Dear Scott It read,

I'm really sorry about the school thing but you have to put yourself in my place. Anyway, don't worry if I'm not there when you wake up. I don't know how long I'll be so don't wait up. I'm not mad, I just need some time alone. I love you.

Taylor O'Neil

Scott crumpled up the paper and threw it to the ground. She left. She left. She left him. Who knew if she was coming back. He didn't even know when she had left.

"Scott, what's wrong?" Bob asked, running into the room. Scott didn't even know he had screamed it.

"She…she left" Scott murmured.

Scott didn't say anything. Instead, he pointed to the crumpled paper. Bob read it and glanced at him.

"What school thing?" he asked.

"She said she wasn't going to school in September and we…argued. Then she just left without saying anything to anybody." Scott answered in a daze.

"We should go talk to Tam" Bob suggested. "If I know a twin, she'll probably know where she is or at least have a clue." The teens ran through the bus, calling for Tamara. When she answered them, they quickly explained. Tamara's eyes went wide.

"Are you sue I can do that?" she asked them.

Bob nodded "I know what being a twin is like. Heck, I know what being a triplet is like. Can't you feel something? Anything?"

Tamara shut her eyes for a moment. "I think I know where she might be," she said. "Follow me"

Scott and Bob followed her off the bus and into a park. That's where they found Taylor, sitting on a bench and tears running down her face. She was clutching a poster of Scott, probably one from a magazine.

"Tay!!!" Scott cried, running to her. She looked up at him, her eyes red from crying.

"Scott" she whispered, before passing out.

Scott sat in the waiting room, his eyes bloodshot. The doctor stepped into the room. Scott jumped to his feet.

The doctor looked around anxiously "Maybe we should go into another room" he said, "we don't want to attract…attention."

They followed him into his office where he turned to them. "She's ok. There just wasn't a lot of flow to the brain. You can take her wherever you are right now and let her rest. Are there any troubles at home that I should know about?" he asked.

Tamara nodded. "We're been with the guys on tour for about three months now and about six months ago she was informed she has…" she gulped. "Cancer. Incurable."

The doctor nodded. "I understand you are her twin?" he asked.

"Yes" she answered.

" Nobody can tell them apart" Scott offered.

"Can I ask you a few questions?" the doctor asked.

"What are your full names?"

"Hers is Taylor Sarah O'Neil and mine is Tamara Kirsten O'Neil"

"Your birth date?"

"The fifteenth of March, 1983" They went through a series of questions. When they were done. They drove back to the bus. Taylor slept for a while and everyone ran in and out, scolding and hugging her. Scott sat by her side the whole time.

Tamara came in and sat beside him. "I wonder why"

"I don't know. I guess she was scared…"

"No" Tamara interrupted. "Why is this happening?" She's so young. Everywhere I go I'll be a living version of her. We even weigh the same, talk the same, write the same. We even used to like the same groups- Nirvana and Metalica. And we would dress exactly alike. But then she started to like Kavana and you guys and I started liking Hanson. Who knows why. For some reason, she wasn't one of the girls who'd scream every time you came in Much music. She'd just sit there at stare at you silently. I guess she kinda admired you ya know? So anyway, when we hit 12, we started to hang out with different people. I stuck to regular, legging type clothes and got my ears pierced. Of course Tay, she wore cargos and tanks and those bra-type things. She got her belly button pierced and her ears about 6 on each ear. We just sorta drifted apart. But when she found out about the cancer, the first person she told was me. Then I dressed more like her, got my belly and ears pierced. It's like the news brought us back together ." Tamara's voice cracked.

"Why is it that you catch us kissing, you accuse us. I swear we wouldn't."

Tamara looked surprised. "You mean you haven't?" Scott didn't get to answer because Taylor woke up that moment.

"Tay!" he cried, rushing to her.

"I'm sorry Scott" she said faintly.

"I know" Tamara stepped up to them.

"I you ever do that again" she warned.

"No problemo little sis" Taylor said with a smile. "Now could you please leave us alone for a moment?" Tamara left and Scott turned to her.

"You made me so worried!" Scott said, kissing her.

"Scott?" she asked softly.

"Hold me" Scott slid next to her.

"My hands are freezing!" she explained. Scott kissed her hands.

Taylor ran her fingers through his long brown and platinum hair. "This is our last week together till… then" she said.

"I have to go Scott, I just can't leave my family."

"You have to do some shows across Asia and I have to spend some time with my family." She told him.

"Scott" she kissed him tenderly. "You know it"

"Shhh" she said, putting a finger to his lips. "Sing"

Scott sighed. "Whenever I look in your eyes, I see something special. Whenever you're kissing me gently, you make me tremble." He shook his head. "I don't want to right now"

"Scott, you're going to have to let go some day." She told him evenly. "You have to date other girls, love life. Before it's taken away from you" she added.

Scott turned his head. She pulled it back with one finger. "Listen to me. You have to face facts. I'm dying Scott. Nothing you do can stop that." Scott's eyes were filled with tears.

"I can't"

"Why not? Are you afraid it isn't right to me? It is Scott. I hate the idea of sharing you, but I don't want to be lonely forever. I want you be happy." Now she was holding back the tears.

"Alright. I'll sing." Scott said. "You are the girl, of my dreams, in my heart, I believe. You are the girl, of my dreams. Baby, of my dreams. All alone in my room, wishing that you were here, all I want, is a chance, to prove that my love is true. Without you, in my arms, I'm holding back all of the tears. Without you, in my life, I'll never be satisfied" He turned to her.

"I swear Tay, I won't let go. I'll never let go."

The week passed too quickly for Scott, as he said goodbye at the airport, he realized that the next time he wold see her, she would be in a hospital, fighting for her life. The thought brought tears to his eyes. As they kissed one more time, Scott whispered in her ear. "I'll be there that day."

She nodded and waved halfheartedly as the airplane flew away. Only then did she burst into tears. She cried on Tamara's shoulder the whole way home.

Ten months later, Scott's cell rang. His heart leapt to his throat.

"Hello?" he croaked.

"Scott? It's Tamara. She's getting weaker and weaker. You gotta come now."

When he finally arrived at the hospital, Scott was a wreak. He frantically brushed his hair in the limo and straitened his rumpled clothes. He ran into the hospital with Bob, Dave and Clint trailing behind him. He ran into the room where Taylor was laying. She was extremely pale and her eyes had dark circles under them.

"Scott" she called faintly.

"I'm here" he said, kissing her and holding her tightly.

"This is it." Tears ran freely down Scott's face.

Dave held Meaghan tightly. Bob turned Tamara's head to his shoulder but she yanked it back.

"Scott, don't be alone" Taylor said softly. Scott only kissed her.

"I love you" she whispered.

"I…" but her body went limp before he could finish.

"Tay!" he wailed, "No! Don't leave! You can't!" he realized he had never told her he loved her, and now she would never know. A hand rested on his shoulder.

"Scott, it's over, she's gone." Clint said softly. Meaghan pressed her face against Dave. Tamara cried against Bob. Scott cried, and wouldn't let go of Taylor's lifeless body. Doctors and Nurses rushed in and pried Scott away. Clint, Bob, Tamara, Meaghan and Dave practically dragged Scott away.

Scott stared down at the plate of food, not willing to eat, not willing to anything. He hadn't eaten, hadn't slept since Taylor had died. 3 weeks ago. Tamara walked into the house and shyly sat in front of him.

"Look Scott," she said, "It's been hard on all of us. How do you think I feel? Every time I look in the mirror, I see her, every time I write, talk, I fell her. But look at you. You're wasting away.

"You now weigh a total of 110 pounds. You'll die if you keep up like this. We all miss her. Maybe you should go talk to Meaghan. She's taking this pretty hard too." Scott wouldn't look at her.

"Think of all the fans. Your family. Are you just going to give up and let them down?"

She got up and said, "Fine." She ran out the door.

After Tamara left, Scott lifted his head. He remembered what she had said to him. He knew it would always hurt but somehow, he finally knew he could deal. He stood up. He knew what he would sing at her funeral. Her favorite song by her favorite singer next to him.

He already knew the words.

Will You Wait For Me by: Kavana

I need to talk with you again

Why did you go away?

All our time together

Just feels like yesterday

I never thought I'd see

A single day without you

The things we take for granted,

We can sometimes lose

And if I promise not to feel this pain,

Will I see you again?

Will I see you again?

Cuz time will pass me by,

Maybe I'll never learn to smile

But I know I'll make it through

If you wait for me

And all the tears I cry

No matter how I try

They'll never bring you home to me

Won't you wait for me?

In heaven

Do you remember how it was?

When we never seemed to care

The time went by so quickly

Cuz I thought you'd always be there

And it's hard to let you go,

Though I know that I must try

It feels like I've been cheating

Cuz I never said goodbye.

And if I promise not to feel this pain

Will I see you again?

Will I see you again?

Cuz time will pass me by

Maybe I'll never learn to smile

But I know I'll make it through

If you wait for me

And all the tears I cry

No matter how I try

They'll bring you home to me

In heaven?

Cuz I miss you so

And I need to know

Will you wait for me?

Cuz time will pass me by

Maybe I'll never learn to smile (No no no)

But I know I'll make it through

If you wait for me (Say you'll wait for me)

And all the tears I cry (all the tears I cry)

No matter how I try (how I try)

They'll never bring you home to me

Won't you wait for me?

And time will pass me by

Maybe I'll never learn to smile

But I know I'll make it through

If you wait for me
