A Rose From God's Garden
God has a lovely garden of flowers that He keeps
to remind Himself of the beauty of His work.
He grows only the most lovely blossoms
and of all the flowers in His garden
there is one that He loves more than all of the others.
It is a delicate, thornless rose,
with petals of the purest pastel cream,
and it has soft pink highlights.
It has a scent that could only come
from a heavenly garden
and it has a generous and giving nature.
It glows with the dew of morning,
and shimmers in the afternoon sunlight.
It gives all that look upon it the peaceful knowledge
that God is in His Garden
and all is right with the world.
And God so loved me, that one day
He picked this beautiful flower
and He handed it to me,
that I might tend and nurture it
with a pure, sweet love that no other can ever know.
I thank God for believing in me
enough to trust you in my care
For surely,you are God's thornless rose
