This is my memories page of my late husband Jim.

Jim was born and raised in a farm house north of Columbus, Ohio. He was one of four living children. He served his country in the United States Air Force. When he was released from service, he went back to his love of being an engineer. While in Ohio, he worked for North American Rockwell. He came to California for a promotion and that was lucky for me. He also spent a few years working for Lockheed.

Jim and I were married July 8, 1967. Jim was a wonderful, loving, caring gentle man. I don't believe I ever herd him say anything bad about anyone. He always looked on the good and bright side of things. Most important he love me for who I was.

Jim had three sons from a previous marriage and when he married me, he inherited a stepdaughter, Le-etta. Many times she tried his patience but sooner or later she discovered that Jim was right. Jim loved her like his own daughter and she learned to love him like her own dad.

Jim loved working in the yard and puttering around in the garage with all his tools and equipment. I never had to worry about getting my car serviced - he took care of that. He was also a darn good "housewife" that didn't mind scrubbing floors and doing windows and a few other things.

Jim spent several years associated with The Away Corporation. This gave him the opportunity to get out and meet and make new friends.

May the cool rain quench your flowers' thirst,

Renew your spirit,

And wash your troubles away.
