The Bush Dynasty follows the lives of George Herbert Bush and his children. The primary focus is on the ascent to power of George W. Bush. It includes his ventures in the oil business and with the Texas Rangers. His questionable behavior is analyzed in Chapter 13: his avoidance of the Vietnam War and allegations of AWOL; his drunk driving arrest and subsequent dismissal from jury duty when he was governor; charges of seeking an abortion for a girlfriend; and his unethical and crude conduct in the 2000 Presidential campaign. The Anointed One evaluates his six years as governor as well as Election 2000 where "Five Politicians in Black Robes" handed over to him the keys to the White House.
