Biography

Edguy, another German-made band that consist of great vocals and music have three capturing albums. The band released their first album back in 1994, Kingdom of Madness. Then in 1997 they released Vain Glory Opera which really propelled their stardom to success. And just recently the band released their 3rd, Theatre of Salvation in 1999. A great album that musically has a lot of potential. Edguy sounds like Stratovarius mixed in with Angra. I highly recommend Edguy to any metalhead out there. Give a listen to.

Edguy Albums

Kingdom of Madness (1997)

KINGDOM OF MADNESS

9 Tracks, playing time 59.19

Kingdom of Madness has some great tunes. Most of the tracks has a good lead and nice chorus. I especially like the epic of Kingdom that goes over 18 minutes. A great song, on the down side. The quality production could be better, given that this is their first album, it's still sounds good though. Give a listen to.

Vain Glory Opera (1998) Vain Glory Opera

11 tracks, playing time 51.32

Vain Glory Opera is an huge improvement over their last record, the band put more vibrance into the songs and also has many awesome lead guitar riffs. Edguy has proven themselves of being capable of becoming a huge success. This album has it all, excellent sound quality and production which I would strongly recommend to anyone. My favorite tracks are How Many Miles, Until We Rise Again, Vain Glory Opera, and Hymn. A instant metal classic.

Theater of Salvation (1999) Theater of Salvation

10 tracks, playing time 49.08

Theater of Salvation I think is their best record, being that there are no bad tracks in this one. Edguy has distinguish themselves again of even out doing their last record, that is not easy to do for many bands. Looks like Edguy are following the same road to success with the powerful and very melodic STRATOVARIUS boys. A great album which all the tracks are exceptionally well composed. My favorites are Babylon, land of the Miracle, Wake Up the King, the Unbeliever, and Theater of Salvation.
